In my advanced painting class, we were asked to come up with a still life for a project. I came up with this There's all sort of stuff in our utility room, but as soon as I saw the deer head, missing a horn and the fabric, the idea just poped in my head. The project was very complicated and let's just say I didn't get to paint this. But even if I had, I think the still life itself has become the piece of art for me... It was way fun and I am very happy with how it came out. Since it is still up, hopefully I can take some better pictures ^_^
Note: I'm not trying to offend anyone here. Sure, I don't consider myself a very religious person, but I believe in God, and also believe in Jesus -therefore, I do apreciate the Madonna (for giving birth to JC and stuff... I mean, I guess the only thing worse than having a horrible, painful death in public would be having to watch your child have a horrible, painful, public death...) This is jus me making fun of some Catholic people (they are the only ones I can speak for, since I was raised Catholic -so bite me) totally idiolize her image, and even worse, anything that has the slightest resemblance becomes an idol as well...
Actually, it started with the fabric. I saw them and picked them up, not sure how I was gonna use them, but then I wondered into the supply room, and there it was: the head. The basic idea just popped into my head, so I grabbed it doubtly, since it was a live animal at some point, and it is old -one of the eyes is like falling . Then I came back and got the arm. The whole idea developed as I put it together, which is how i usually do art. I never have a complete idea of what i want, I just get a basic thought and run with it ^___^
that rocks. XD You got the hand pose just right too. I was raised Catholic, but then I'm also a lesbian, so I can totally appreciate humor. ^^ Hey, God laughs at us! XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
